NEW Pregnancy Loss Grief Circles in Salem, 3rd Thursday 6.30-8.30pm
NEW Pregnancy Loss Grief Circles in Salem, 3rd Thursday 6.30-8.30pm
In-person support groups giving new parents opportunities to meet other parents, share the ups and downs of this new life chapter and find resources from trained peer support volunteers.
Attending a local support group in person may not be suitable for some parents. It is the vision of PSI that every woman and family worldwide will have access to social support to deal with mental health issues related to childbearing. Our hope is that through online support group meetings, we are able to reach families far and wide.
Fridays 10.30am-12pm (arrive & leave anytime)
WFMC Health, 435 Lancaster Drive NE, Salem, 97301
Join us anytime during group. We encourage participants to focus on their self-care and so there is no pressure to arrive on time or stay until the end. All babies & toddlers welcome. Enter through the grey door at the back of the building (our flyer is on the door & in the window to the left of the door), where there is also plenty of parking. If you enter through the front, an clinic employee will show you to the room. Please text or call if you have any questions.
Pregnancy and infant loss is a deeply isolating experience, often leaving parents to navigate a world that doesn’t fully understand their grief. Our Pregnancy & Infant Loss Grief Circles offer a unique healing opportunity—a space to honor your grief and find comfort in a community with others who are on a similar journey. These gatherings are designed to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where participants can share their stories, process their emotions, and receive support.
In our society, there are few cultural frameworks for meaningfully honoring loss, especially when it comes to pregnancy and infant loss. Our grief circles aim to reclaim that space by offering intentional moments to remember your baby and process your grief. Through rituals like lighting candles, sharing memories, and guided meditations, we create a space for you to acknowledge your loss and honor your healing journey. These rituals provide a tangible, heartfelt way to process grief and find a sense of connection.
Our grief circles are open to anyone who has carried a baby who has died, whether your loss was recent or occurred years ago. These intimate gatherings are designed for small groups to ensure a safe and supportive environment for sharing and healing. The circles are open exclusively to the person who carried the baby, allowing for deep, personal connection with others walking a similar path.
Join us in community to honor your grief, share your story, and hold space for your healing journey.
