Executive Director of PSI, Wendy Davis, Ph.D., talks about pregnancy and postpartum depression and anxiety on KATU's AM Northwest. Learn about the causes, symptoms and help available in the form of social support networks such as Compass Perinatal Peer Support. We are local PSI Coordinators and volunteers, for families within Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties in Oregon.
Join us on Fridays, 10-30am-12pm, at Broadway Coffeehouse in the Dallas Room (204) to connect with peer volunteer facilitators and other moms. This is an informal time for both pregnant women & moms who are in their postpartum period to share how they are feeling and find resources. Arrive when you can and stay for as long as you want Babes in arms welcome.
Call or text our Warm Line, (971) 301-2678, leave a brief message and our volunteers will get back to you within 24 hours. Email support also available at firstname.lastname@example.org. Offering remote support using their own personal experiences of perinatal mental health and training with Postpartum Support International (PSI).
Looking for a local mental health professional or perhaps a moms group? We have an exhaustive list of local resources to recommend to you.
At Compass Perinatal Peer Support in Salem and surrounding areas, we are Local Support Coordinators for Postpartum Support International (PSI). We are also moms and birth workers who themselves have struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety and see a huge need in our community for more support in the area of perinatal mental health. We offer our support and friendship as peers in a social setting or more privately via phone, email or text. Being part of PSI ensures that we also never feel alone in any situation that may arise, giving us confidence to provide an excellent service to our community.
